Wonderful 2 weeks at Starfish Cottage. Weather great - in 90's whole time - hardly any rain.
Beach is amazing - best at sunset - take a beach chair down to the edge of the water. Saw dolphins very close to shore at beach - also at City pier and Rod & Reel pier. Wolud love to come back sad to leave..

Our second stay at Starfish Cottage. It is perfect for our fam. My grandchildren love the pool and the beach! Walked to the Sandbar and had a great meal. Ice Cream at the Dip across the street. Wish we could stay longer - maybe next year..

After 10 days on Orlando, Starfish cottage was just what we needed to unwind! Fantastic cottage, great location, heated pool, 1 min walk to deserted beach - our idea of heaven!
If you like fishing then buy some frozen shrimp from the bait shop and if you're as lucky as us you will catch fish after fish! Then cook it on the BBQ!
Excellent meals at the Sandbar and Sign of the Mermaid.
Would love to return one day!.

What a fantastic place, we have loved being here, it is so stress free just what was needed. We have visited a majority of the eating places, not to be missed:-
The Waterfront - excellent pork chops.
The Sign of the Mermaid - the best keyline pie.
The Sandbar - just for the sunset and the ambience.
Do the sunrise walk on the beach followed by breakfast at the Rod & Reel.
Didn't see the dolphins, guess that means well just have to come back..

Do we really have to give the keys back?!! We had the most fantastic time on Anna Maria Island and Starfish was perfect 'home from home' platform. We are consumed by so many happy memories that are too numerous to list here..

The cottage is super: nice & clean, lovely pool, everything you could need & only two minutes slow stroll onto the most idyllic beach. Powder white sand, blue, blue sea, hardly anyone there, clear warm sea water, daily sightings of dolphins swimming close to the shore, easy fun fishing off the beach & the most fantastic sunsets over the sea every night. It really lives up to the name for Idyllic Holidays. Thank you so much.

Lovely cottage with pool. Just off the beach
Starfish Cottage is a beautifully renovated cottage, with full air-conditioning and heating. It is situated on the gulf coast of Florida in a quite location known as a nature reserve in Anna Maria, being part of Anna Maria Island, which neighbors the exclusive island of Longboat Key. (1hr from Tampa Airport 30 minutes from Sarasota).
The garden area is tropically landscaped. The property is one of a cluster of three cottages that surround a heated, free-formed deep swimming pool with waterfall. It is located within 300 feet from the beautiful 7 mile, white sandy beach, where you can watch Pelican dive, Ibis run and Dolphins swim.
The property is fitted with all mod cons, and it is our aim to ensure that your holiday starts from the moment you arrive. To those of you who know the island, the cottages are within walking distance of the wonderful Sandbar beach restaurant. Information on bicycle rental as well as emergency telephone numbers plus additional information on places to visit are all in a booklet awaiting your arrival.

Another great stay on Anna Maria Island and in Starfish Cottage. Weather has been wonderful just a little breezy and cool in the evenings. Saw dolphins from the beach down by The Sandbar but the best view was down at City pier. Very bade to be leaving but we will be back next year..
