• RESTAURANTS You will find a number of wonderful restaurants in Carrapateira, Pedralva and Vila do Bispo such as Cabrita, Sitio do Forno and Sitio do Rio to name but a few, who specialise in traditional portugeise cuisine..
• RESTURANTS NEAR FARO AIRPORT O Pontual Resturant (very local on airport boundry). Excellent food and a good price. Try the dish of the day. Go to the last roundabout before the airport the one with the stone people and dog looking up to watch the planes. Take the last exit to Faro Island so that the Total Petrol Station is on your left, go 400 yards and turn left O Pontual is on the left nearly at the end..
• SHOPPING In Carrapateira there is a Mini Mercado where you can buy most things here including wine. There is also a Market which is held every morning except Sunday. 12km away in Vila do Bispo there is a Lidl supermarket, a large daily market, bakers and butchers..
• INTERNET Subject to availability from our service provider, we have Wifi internet in all our houses in Vilarinha.
• CARETAKER We have a caretaker who lives in Vilarinha. He will be happy to hear from you should you need any assistance during your stay..
• ELECTRICITY Electricity 230volt.

Our time at the village house was pure relaxation. The house feels like a true home and the view of the valley is breathtaking. The beaches & the villages close to the house are also a joy. A perfect holiday!.

I just wanted to write to let you know we are now back in Canada and had a wonderful stay at the Village House! It was an incredible place to stay. The house itself was amazing (a dream house really) and we were very taken with the little village. We hope to stay there again. Thank your again for all you help..
